Riding Lessons

Step into The Tiny Pony Parlour, a safe, nurturing, and magical place where children can begin their very first riding journey.

At this time, all of our riding lessons are lead rein only, making them the perfect introduction for beginners and younger riders. Our one to one private lessons are designed for children aged 4 to 8/9 years old (up to 35kg), with an experienced handler walking alongside throughout.

Every child begins with a gentle introductory lesson, giving us the chance to understand their confidence, balance, and comfort around ponies. From there, we create a pathway that helps them progress at their own pace, building trust, enjoyment, and confidence in the saddle.

At the Tiny Pony Parlour, we offer two enchanting ways for children to enjoy time with ponies:

Private Riding Lessons – focused, one to one instruction in the saddle.

Pony Experience Lessons - a blend of riding and hands on pony care.

  • Lead Rein Riding Lessons - £35

    Our riding lessons are all private 1 to 1 sessions, so your child feels supported and gets the attention they deserve at every step.

    Each journey begins with an Assessment Ride, where we gently check confidence and ability before planning the best pathway forward.

  • Pony Experience Lessons (Riding Lesson & Pony Care) -£45

    For children who want more than just riding. These sessions combine pony care with time in the saddle, teaching children how to groom, tack up, and help with simple stable tasks. It’s the closest thing to having a pony of their own, and a great way to build a bond.
